Changelog

What changed, and what it means for you

Every entry says what it changes for a shop. Breaking changes to the API - which there have not been any of - get their own notice and a migration window; see the versioning policy.

Finishes you can price, and a site that cannot lie about them

  • Added - A catalogue of finishes - sanding, vapour smoothing, dyeing, vibro-polishing, painting, inspection, packaging - that you add to a configuration with one click. Each carries the minutes the work takes and is priced at your own rate for whoever does it.
  • Added - Developer documentation generated from the API contract itself, so an endpoint that is not documented is a repository diff rather than a gap on the website.
  • Changed - This marketing site now takes its plan quotas and its worked price examples from the engine, so a page that disagrees with the product fails the build.

Calibration

  • Added - Fit the pricing model to your own machines. Give it three or more parts you have actually made, each with its real print time or weight, and it fits the calibratable coefficients, reports the error before and after, and shows exactly which numbers it wants to change.
  • Added - A simulator beside the configuration editor: drop a part on it and watch the breakdown move as you change a rate, before anything is published.
  • Changed - Calibration writes to a draft only, never to a published version. A fit is a suggestion you look at, not a change that happens to you.

A set-up guide, test mode and a command palette

  • Added - A step-by-step set-up guide that reads its own progress from your shop, so it is resumable and can never claim a step you undid.
  • Added - A test/live switch. Test widget keys never spend your quota and never create real orders.
  • Added - Command palette on ⌘K - go to any configuration, widget, customer, quote or order by name or number.

Release notices in the console are not built yet, so for now ask to be told by e-mail. We do not send a newsletter you did not ask for twice, and unsubscribing is one click that actually works.
