Legal

The documents, and what is in them

Quotometry has not launched yet. These documents are in drafting and will be reviewed by a lawyer, and they will be published in full - dated and versioned - before general availability. Publishing a contract we had not had reviewed would be worse than publishing nothing.

What we can do now is tell you what each one covers and which commitments are already settled, so you can judge the substance. If you need a draft to give to your own legal team before then, ask and we will send it.

The documents

Terms of Service in drafting

The agreement between your shop and us: what the service does, what you may do with it, availability, payment, suspension and termination.

  • We take no percentage of your orders.
  • We do not use files uploaded to your widget for anything but quoting them - not training, not benchmarks, not examples.
  • On termination your data stays exportable for 30 days.

Privacy Notice in drafting

What personal data we hold about you as a customer, why, for how long, and your rights over it.

  • We are the controller for your account data and a processor for your buyers’ data.
  • Analytics are minimised: the usage events behind the charts record no IP address.
  • The widget sets no cookie.

Data Processing Agreement in drafting

The GDPR Article 28 terms for the buyer data we process on your behalf, with standard contractual clauses for any transfer outside the EEA.

  • EU data region at launch.
  • Tooling to export or delete everything associated with a buyer’s e-mail within your tenant.
  • Notification of a personal-data breach without undue delay.

Sub-processors in drafting

Every third party that touches your data, what they do and where they are - with notice before we add one.

  • A dated list, and advance notice of changes so you can object.

Acceptable Use Policy in drafting

What may not be quoted or made through the platform, and our right to suspend an account that does.

  • Responsibility for what you manufacture is yours; we reserve the right to suspend for clear abuse.
  • Export-controlled work is not suitable for the hosted service - see the security page.

Service Level Agreement in drafting

Availability commitments and remedies, on the plans that include one.

  • Measured against a public status page, not against our own recollection.

Cookie Notice in drafting

The cookies the console sets - session and preferences - and the fact that the widget and this website set none.

  • No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies anywhere.

Accessibility Statement in drafting

What we target, what we have tested, and what we know is not there yet.

  • WCAG 2.2 AA as the target for the console, the widget and this site, with known gaps listed rather than omitted.

The security page describes how the platform is built and - just as importantly - which certifications we do not have. The versioning policy is the technical counterpart to these documents: what we promise not to break in the API.

Need something specific?

Procurement questionnaires, a DPA draft, insurance details - ask and we will answer directly rather than pointing at a page.
