In short
AutoQuote3D is a self-serve quoting and order tool for 3D print shops: an iframe widget, Stripe checkout, order tracking, a public REST API and an MCP server for AI assistants, from $25 a month. Quotometry prices the same polymer processes, metal powder bed and binder jetting, CNC and cutting, with a readable price breakdown, backtesting, calibration, versioned configurations and signed webhooks, and has a free plan. It does not take payment in its widget or track production yet.

- You want a free plan to start, and SLS or MJF priced by the part's share of a build.
Where AutoQuote3D is stronger
AutoQuote3D closes the sale. The buyer pays through Stripe in the widget, approved business customers can pay by invoice on the higher plans, and a connected Shopify store can take payment at its own checkout. Quotometry does not take payment in its widget yet; its WooCommerce and Shopify plugins hand the quote to the shop’s own checkout.
It follows the job after the sale. Orders move through intake, production and fulfilment, the customer gets an e-mail at each status change, and staff can leave notes on a part. Quotometry stops at the order: an inbox with review and override, e-mail and webhooks.
It is built for AI assistants. There is an MCP server, an official Claude connector and ChatGPT plugin, and an Action Chat in the dashboard. Quotometry has no AI features today.
Its Professional plan gives unlimited quotes for $50 a month.
Where Quotometry is stronger
Quotometry is built so that a shop can trust and defend its prices. Every price is a tree of named lines with the inputs behind them, and the shop chooses how much the buyer sees. A draft change can be backtested against recent quotes and reference parts before publishing; configurations are versioned, and a bad change can be rolled back. Calibration fits the estimator’s speed and overhead coefficients to parts the shop has already made and shows the error before and after. We found none of these on AutoQuote3D’s public pages.
For SLS and MJF, Quotometry prices the part’s share of a packed build. Orders reach the shop’s own systems by signed webhooks with retries, replay and a delivery log; AutoQuote3D’s developer page says it has no webhooks. The widget is a native web component, with WordPress and Shopify plugins, and the API has a test mode.
There is a free plan, and the paid plans count quote requests rather than every price.
Pricing compared
| Plan level | AutoQuote3D | Quotometry |
|---|---|---|
| Free | Setup and a sample quote; paying customers need a plan | 25 quote requests a month, one process |
| Entry | $25 a month, 50 quotes | €29 a month, 250 quote requests |
| Middle | $50 a month, unlimited quotes | €99 a month, 1,000 quote requests |
| Top self-serve | $175 a month, up to 5 users | €299 a month, 5,000 quote requests |
AutoQuote3D charges no transaction fee; Stripe’s fees apply. Quotometry counts the first price of a file for a buyer, not later re-prices. Backtesting and API access start on Growth. The currencies differ and we have not converted them. Full quotas are on the pricing page.
Switching
- Quote the same parts in both with your real materials and rates, and compare filament, support and time line by line.
- Quotometry starts from catalogue presets for common printers and materials; you enter your own rates. There is no importer for AutoQuote3D settings.
- Decide how you will take payment. With Quotometry today you invoice, or the WooCommerce or Shopify plugin sends the buyer to your own store’s checkout.
- Keep your existing quote link live until a real order has gone through end to end.

Questions people ask
Is Quotometry an AutoQuote3D alternative?
Yes for a print shop that wants instant prices on its own site, with different strengths. AutoQuote3D takes the payment and tracks production. Quotometry shows the full price breakdown, backtests changes, calibrates to your parts and versions your settings, but does not take payment in its widget or track production yet. Both quote metal printing; Quotometry sends every metal line to the shop's review by default, a rule the shop can switch off.
Does AutoQuote3D run a real slicer?
For FDM, AutoQuote3D says its server slices the file with PrusaSlicer using a profile it ships, and takes machine time from filament volume and a flow rate you set. Quotometry estimates from sampled cross-sections without running a slicer per quote; its accuracy against real slicers is not yet published, so test both on your own parts.
Which is cheaper, AutoQuote3D or Quotometry?
AutoQuote3D starts at $25 a month with 50 quotes and has unlimited quotes at $50. Quotometry has a free plan with 25 quote requests, then €29 for 250 and €99 for 1,000, and re-pricing does not count. For a busy shop AutoQuote3D's Professional plan is cheaper on list price; compare against your real monthly volume.
Quotometry prices every part from your own machines and rates, on your website, in seconds.
