In short
Paperless Parts is quoting and estimating software for custom part manufacturers, strongest in CNC machining and sheet metal, with ERP integrations, AI document reading, US GovCloud hosting and buyer checkout on digital quotes. Pricing is custom and not published. Quotometry is a self-serve instant quote widget for 3D printing, CNC milling and turning, flat cutting and budgetary moulding, with public monthly plans, a price breakdown, backtesting and calibration. It does not price bent sheet metal yet, reads no drawings and does not take payment in its widget yet.

| Test a pricing change on past quotes | Not found in public sources | Simulator re-prices recent quotes and reference parts with a draft change before you publish it (Growth plan and up) |
| Calibration and versioning | Not found in public sources | Calibration fits speed and overhead coefficients to parts you have made. Configurations are drafted, published and rolled back, and every quote keeps its version |
| Buyer-facing front end | Smart RFQ Form embedded on the shop's website; digital quotes with part thumbnails, re-quote, up to 30 quantity breaks and lead-time options | Native web component with an instant price, iframe and hosted quote page fallbacks; WordPress and Shopify plugins |
| Buyer pays online | Yes: digital quotes with online checkout and payments. The payment provider is not named | Not in the widget yet; Stripe Connect is planned. With the WooCommerce plugin (basket) or the Shopify plugin (draft order) the buyer pays at the shop's own checkout; otherwise the shop invoices |
| Integrations, API and webhooks | ERPs including Epicor, JobBOSS, E2 Shop, Fulcrum, Global Shop Solutions, Infor, ProShop, Plex and others; HubSpot, Salesforce, QuickBooks. Described as built on a documented API; no public API reference or webhooks found | REST API with OpenAPI 3.1, idempotency keys and test mode (Growth plan and up); signed webhooks with retries, replay and a delivery log. No ready-made ERP connectors |
| AI features | Wingman: reads drawings and RFQ documents for tolerances, GD&T, materials and terms, and shows where each item was found. It does not suggest shop pricing | No AI features today |
| Security and controlled work | ITAR registered, hosted on AWS US GovCloud, FedRAMP Moderate equivalent, designed for CMMC Level 2 | EU data region; no ITAR or CMMC handling |
Which to choose
Choose Paperless Parts if
- You run a CNC or sheet metal job shop and your estimators build quotes from STEP files and drawings.
- You need your quotes to flow into an ERP such as Epicor, JobBOSS, E2 Shop, ProShop or Global Shop Solutions.
- You handle ITAR or CUI work and need US GovCloud hosting and CMMC Level 2 support.
- You want AI help reading tolerances, GD&T and material callouts from drawings.
- You want buyers to accept and pay for a reviewed digital quote online.
Choose Quotometry if
- You print, machine or cut parts and want buyers to get a price in seconds without an estimator in the loop.
- You want to start on a free plan, or a published monthly price, without a sales call.
- You want to read every line of a price and backtest a rate change before it goes live.
- You build your own integration and want a public OpenAPI document and signed webhooks.
- You sell through WordPress or Shopify and want a plugin.
Where Paperless Parts is stronger
Paperless Parts is estimating software for job shops, and that is where it is deepest. It analyses CNC part files, sheet metal bends, holes and cut length, and handles Swiss screw machining, rubber parts and assemblies as well as additive work. Quotometry prices milled and turned parts from the 3D file and flat cut parts from a DXF or SVG drawing, but not bent sheet metal, and threads are counted by the buyer rather than read from the file.
It fits into an existing shop system. The integrations page lists more than a dozen ERPs, among them Epicor, JobBOSS, E2 Shop, Fulcrum, Global Shop Solutions, Infor, Plex and ProShop, plus HubSpot, Salesforce and QuickBooks. Quotometry has an API and webhooks but no ready-made ERP connectors.
It reads documents. Its Wingman AI pulls tolerances, GD&T, material requirements and RFQ terms out of drawings and shows where each one came from. Quotometry reads 3D files only.
It is built for defence supply chains: ITAR registered, hosted on AWS US GovCloud, and designed for CMMC Level 2. Quotometry does not handle controlled work.
Buyers get digital quotes with online checkout. Quotometry’s widget does not take payment yet.
Where Quotometry is stronger
Quotometry prices without an estimator. A buyer uploads a 3D file on the shop’s site and sees a price in seconds, worked out from the shop’s own machines, materials and rates, and changes material, quality or quantity without waiting. A rule can still hold a quote for manual review.
The price is readable: a tree of named lines with the inputs that produced them. A draft change can be backtested against recent quotes before it goes live, configurations are versioned with rollback, and calibration fits the estimator to parts the shop has already made.
It is self-serve: a free plan, published monthly prices and no onboarding contract. The API is described by a public OpenAPI document, and orders are delivered by signed webhook with retries and replay.
Pricing compared
Paperless Parts does not publish prices. Its facts page says pricing depends on the size of the shop, the modules and integrations chosen, onboarding and contract length, and is not per seat.
Quotometry’s plans are Free, Starter at €29, Growth at €99 and Pro at €299 a month, with annual billing at ten months’ price. Backtesting and API access start on Growth. Every quota is on the pricing page.
Switching
The two products rarely replace each other. A typical case is a job shop on Paperless Parts that wants buyers to price printed or simple machined parts alone.
- Keep drawing-driven machining and bent sheet work on Paperless Parts.
- Put a Quotometry widget on the 3D printing page of your site, starting from catalogue presets for your printers and materials, and enter your own rates.
- Send Quotometry orders to your ERP or inbox through signed webhooks; there is no Paperless Parts connector.
- If you quote controlled parts, keep them off Quotometry, which has no ITAR or CMMC handling.

Questions people ask
Is Quotometry a Paperless Parts alternative?
For most Paperless Parts customers, not today. Paperless Parts is built around an estimator quoting machined and sheet metal parts, with ERP integrations. Quotometry gives a buyer an instant price on the shop's own website for a printed part, a milled or turned part from a STEP file, or a flat cut part; it does not price bent sheet metal yet or read drawings. A shop doing both could use each for its own work.
Does Paperless Parts publish its prices?
No. Its pricing page asks you to call or get in touch, and its facts page says pricing depends on shop size, modules, integrations, onboarding and contract length, not on seats. Quotometry's plans are on its pricing page, from a free plan to €299 a month.
Can either product take the buyer's payment?
Paperless Parts describes digital quotes with online checkout and payments. Quotometry does not take payment in its widget yet; buyer payment through Stripe Connect is planned. Today the order reaches the shop by webhook, e-mail and an inbox and the shop invoices, or the WooCommerce or Shopify plugin sends the buyer to the shop's own checkout.
Quotometry prices every part from your own machines and rates, on your website, in seconds.
